This restaurant is new in our neighborhood so we tried it. We were impressed! The food tasted fresh and from scratch (not reheated). The combination of spices and the flavor profiles were excellent and complex. Real recipes! We had garlic naan, mango chicken, tandoori chicken, and Kung Pao. All was good. As the only non-indian dish, I was skeptical of the Kung Pao but it was an original take on this favorite of our family. Other things: Owner/manager was helpful and easy to talk to on the phone and went out of his way to give me extra hot sauce since I had ordered the dishes medium.

One of the best Indian foods I have ever eaten! My order was a very difficult order since I was ordering for a group of non-Indians with many allergies and spice tolerance levels, but the chef was able to conform to my requests and still made the food taste brilliant with all the adjustments. The staff was very easy to talk to and made the ordering process simple. Highly recommend Kokum for anyone who is ordering for a large crowd or just wants to try authentic Indian food!

I have to say, this was the best Indian restaurant experience I have had in a long, long time. The food was outstanding. The quality of the ingredients was incredible. The service and accommodations were unequaled. New Rochelle is lucky to have this gem open, and if I lived closer I would go every day.
